bathroom bonus

Sign up here: http://www.rightathome.com/ and go to special offers in the right hand column toward the bottom for a free gift pack mailed to your house. Nothing big, but I love getting free stuff in the mail - it's way better than bills! :)-

*I think I have to put a disclaimer on here - if your kid plays in the toilet (?) I don't think I would use this product. Okay, if your kid plays in the toilet like on a regular basis, I have a different post for you, but...

where'd you go??

Whoops! Did I forget to say I quit posting for the summer? ;) Okay, so it was totally unplanned. This was my first summer to be able to stay home with my kids and it was WONDERFUL! Of course, the term "stay home" has a bit of a different meaning when you're searching for ways to get out of the house, but anyway...

I had the best time at Target today, and you can bet that I'll be going back! Here's the deal (pun intended):

For every 4 Special K marked items you buy at $2.39, you will receive a $5 Target gift card.
So, 4 x $2.39 = 9.56 out of pocket, plus a $5 card in yours. Now this will sweeten the deal:

$1 mfr coupon on Special K bluberry cereal, $1/2 SK cereal bars, $1 on SK crackers, .75 on SK chocolatey pretzel cereal bars, - these could reset again on Sept 1st, so print tonight and check back tomorrow!

.50 off Kelloggs grain or fruit snacks store coupon

So, depending on how you work it, you could get 4 boxes for as low as $4.81+tax (even with only one computer) and get the $5 card back!

AND, if you didn't do it yet, print out your Kellogg's Fuel for School Rebate form (the link is in the bottom right corner after you sign up/log in) and receive a $10 rebate check by mail after purchasing 10 of the items listed. (Make sure all items are on one receipt - but this will be easy at Target this week! You can purchase multiple sets of 4, receiving gift cards for each set.)

If you work your math (and have access to more than one computer), you could potentially MAKE $10 AND have 10 boxes of snack stockpile. Go back again, use your gift cards to buy more, and get more gift cards, repeat, etc. Now, THAT'S what I call Special! Thanks Kellogg's and Target!! :)

no paper weekend

No, this is not an entry to encourage you to be frugal and earth conscious with reusable plates instead of paper ones for your Memorial Day BBQ... it's just a reminder that there aren't any coupon inserts in this Sunday's paper. So, save your $2.00 and use your time to organize the coupons you've got, or better yet, take a nap! ;)

go to target - now!

I know, I'm a LOUSY blogger - I "plan" to be better this summer when I'm not working. Even working just 20 hours a week leaves me with very little time each day, and of course, no matter how excited I am over deals, family comes first! They're why I spend the time finding these deals - so that I only have to work part time! I highly recommend it! :)

I just got back from Target where I took advantage of some great deals as I stocked up! My husband could live off of crackers and cheese, so this was a great week! Stocking up doesn't always have to mean something is free or almost free. If it's something you normally buy anyway and are getting a great deal on, it will really benefit you! Think about it, if I buy a box of crackers each week at the store (a small understatement) for $2.99, that's more than $150 over a whole year. If I can find those same crackers and pay $1.50 instead, I've just saved my family $75 dollars! And that's just for one product. Enough of the math lesson - here's the deals:

To do these, you'll need to print off both Target coupons from their store website, a full cup's target coupon generator (my favorite - it's the fastest way to print multiples of only the ones you want), or from the kiosk at the front of the store AND the matching manufacturer coupons from http://www.kraftfoods.com/ and/or http://www.coupons.com/. The store coupons are unlimited and each of the mfr coupon sites should let you do 2 each for a total of 4, unless you have more than one computer at your house. You ready?

Family Size Wheat Thins - $1.16 each (wyb2) ~ $2.66 use $1 off 2 (target) & 2 $1 (mfr)

Family Size Triscuits - $1.16 each (wyb2) ~ $2.66 use $1 off 2 (target) & 2 $1 (mfr)

Regular Size Triscuits - $1.04 each ~ (wanted to try the fancy new flavors :) $2.04 use $1 (mfr)

Nabisco 100 calorie packs - $0.04 ~ $2.04 use $1 off (target) & $1 off (mfr)

Kraft Salad Dressings - $0.79 each (wyb2) ~ $2.29 *2 = 4.58 use $1 off 2 (target) & 2 $1 off (mfr) *there was one variety marked down to $1.99 which would make them 59 cents each

Ritz Crackers - $0.54 ~ $2.54 use $1 (target) & $1 (mfr)

Miracle Whip - $0.99 each (wyb2) ~ $2.49*2= 4.98 use $1 off 2 (target) & 2 $1 off (mfr)

Kraft Mayonaise - $0.49 each (wyb2) ~ $1.99*2 = 3.98 use $1 off 2 (target) & 2 $1 off (mfr)

Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh lunchmeat - $1.89 each (wyb2) ~ $2.89 each, use $1 off 2 (target) & $1 off 2 (mfr)

Kraft shredded cheese - $1.09 each (wyb2) - $2.09 each, use $1 off 2 (target) & $1 off 2 (mfr)

Gold N Plump Chicken - assorted sizes, prices, etc - You can get a whole chicken for $3, family pack of drumsticks for $2.50, 3 chicken breasts for $3.50- see what works for you, but use the $1 (target) and combine it with the $1 or $1.50 off coupons you can get here -

*Here's some other things I picked up using some coupons from the Sunday papers

Dove Go-fresh 4 pk soap - $2.54 ~ $4.54 use $1 (target) & $1 (mfr) - there was another flavor clearanced for less, but I thought it smelled a bit too fruity

Diet Dr Pepper 12 pk - $2.75 each (um, no coupon, but a good price!)

Shick Quattro Razors - $0.25 each (wyb2) ~ $6.49 each, use $2 (target) & $4 (mfr) & bogo (mfr)

Cottonelle Toilet Paper - $4.75-5.00 ~ $6.49 use $1 (target) and .75 or .50 (mfr)

If your pre-tax total is over $75, go ahead and give them one of those $5 off $75 coupons you get on your receipts (let me know if you need one) - it won't matter that your total in the end is way under $75. Then give your mfr coupons, then your store coupons last. You shouldn't have any problems using multiple coupons (for the correct number of items, of course), just don't go crazy with 20 boxes of wheat thins - this tends to draw attention to yourself! ;)

busy busy

*Too busy to blog, but I Hope you're all celebrating a wonderful Easter weekend with your family!

*I've taken advantage of lots of the great deals out there this week. Too much to list, but off the top of my head it was Dunkin Donuts coffee, shave gel, toothpaste, oh, and I'm still picking up a few packs of fruit snacks each time I go into Target :) - and yes, you can print out their store coupons from the kiosk - you have to click shop on line, then print them out as you would at home. Pretty sneaky.

*In case you hadn't heard/read - no coupon inserts in the paper this week.

*Most importantly, I wanted to point out that Mardel (71st & Mingo) has The Beginner's Bible on sale for $5 (must be the ones off the value table, not the back wall). What a WONDERFUL deal! I picked one up for my 3 year old. Sometimes when I find a great kids' Bible, I'm reluctant to actually let them use it and read it without me there making sure it stays "looking new." So, I can get rid of that little perfectionism this Sunday! I thought this would also make a great inexpensive gift to have on hand for someone that could use one. You never know!

*Also, while you're at Mardel, you might want to get a set of Resurrection Eggs on sale for $10. I love using these in my class - they are a great visual and hands-on activity for kids, and you can use them over and over each year! Oh, how my heart just melted the first time I heard my son tell the Easter story with these to his cousins. Like I said, for $10 they are a good deal, but really, they are priceless!

*Have a blessed weekend! - E :)
