The Chick-fil-a at Eastside Market (71st & Garnett) seems to just keep the deals coming. If you have unlimited texting - text CFA1448 to 411-247 - they will send you texts with upcoming promotions and occasional coupons.
Tomorrow (Tues, Mar. 31) is the last free breakfast for awhile, I think. They're giving away a chicken biscuit to every customer until 10 am. I usually at least order a drink so they make some profit off of me, but they just texted a coupon for a free drink, so...

Target - leapster 2
If any of you need a good "big gift" or just some peace and quiet on a car trip, Target has Leapster 2 on sale for $50 this week ($49.99 if you're being exact...). You can print a $10 off coupon from www.coupons.com and even a $5 off game cartridges too. I think you can print off 2 of each. This week, there's a Star Wars and Wall-E game for $15 ($10 after coupon) and the others are $19 (or $14 after coupons). I really haven't seen a better deal on these - and they keep my kids very quiet when I need them to be!

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
I know, kind of an odd thing to say on March 27th, but Chick-fil-a (71st & Garnett) is (once again) giving food away...that is, if it snows. Here's the deal: 1 item per person, if we get 1 inch - a kid's cone, 2 inches - a large fry, 3 inches - a chicken sandwich! Best case scenario for my family of 5? We see 3 inches of snow and snag 3 sandwiches and 2 fries as we go through the drive thru - because there's no way we want to go in with all 3 kids! :)-

YAHOO!!
If you could only see how happy I got today after getting the mail - it's ridiculous! If you're lucky enough to be in the right area to receive Target's mailer, you'll receive a $5 off $25 grocery coupon, another $10 gift card offer when you use their pharmacy, free fruit smoothie from their cafe and (my fav...) a FREE starbucks drink!! I still have a $5 gift card from last weeks offer, so I will surely be heading there next time I have a few grocery needs!

odds and ends
Sorry for no post in awhile. Things got busy, kids got sick, things stayed busy, you know how it goes. I really haven't been shopping much till today anyway, which of course, means saving LOTS of money! :) Here's a few good finds:
*$5 game card to Incredible Pizza after taking a quick survey
*free adult admission to the Tulsa Zoo after taking a survey (click on the survey link at the right)
*Target's deal this week on select quaker products is awesome! The worst you could do without any coupons is $12.50 for 5 boxes and get a $5 gift card back. Some things are priced at $2, others $2.50. IF you've been saving coupons and use one for each of the 5 items, you'll do a lot better! I paid $7.50 for mine, then got the $5 gift card back. I suppose you could turn around and go get more, doing the same transaction over and over again using your gift card each time and getting a new one back... if you have enough time, coupons, and patience. I was happy with 5 boxes. :)
*Also at Target, print two applesauce coupons from here (mfr) and here (target coupon generator) to get two six packs of applesauce for 14 cents each. Wow!
*I love the target coupon generator b/c you save paper and can make some awesome deals combining store & mfr coupons. I also printed out a few more of the ones for $2 off Sutton and Dodge beef. Find the cheapest packs of meat and you can make a pretty cheap meal. I picked up some stew meat for 43 cents and chuck eye steak that will work in fajitas for 87 cents. Nice. Just make sure you check the top if it's for SuperTarget or Target before you try and use it at the "new" non-super-target - I'm not sure if they will work there or not. I don't want to endorse any coupon fraud! ;)
*Another neat thing I got to do (well, depends on how you look at it...). A week ago, we had to get some meds for Riley. I remembered the $10 gift card offer when you fill a new rx in the Target ad. So we used that, got the gift card, and also were given a neat bag of free goodies from the new pharmacy at 71st & Lynn Lane. Carrie had left a comment about this in my most (not so) recent post. It worked - thanks! :) And since we know we'll be refilling the prescription, I'll be transferring it to Walgreens where I have a coupon for a $25 gift card waiting for me if I transfer it there! Awesome! Well, not that Ry has to have meds, but... might as well make the most of it, or at least get them paid for! I see coupons like this all the time, and I plan on using them!
*And...speaking of Walgreens - it's been a really good month there too. I'm all stocked up on Dove deodorant, soap, toothpaste and cereal thanks to coupons, register rewards and rebates! I'm not posting details on that since the week is almost up, but I hope you found those deals out in bloggyland.
*I had a really encouraging week. I received my $2.50 Windex rebate, $6.99 Ensure rebate, ate free meals with lots of coupons, got tons of free/really cheap groceries, oh, and did I mention my mother-in-law has my two oldest?!? Made deal shopping a whole lot easier!! Only one coupon insert in Sunday's paper, but get it anyway - it will be a useful one. See you next week!

walgreens 3/1-3/7
Sometimes, it's just too good for my rambling words - so here's what I got today:
#1
4 oz colgate total - 1.79 (clearanced @ the 51st & 145th store) - $1.50 Easy Saver Coupon
2 old spice deodorants - 1.49 each - $1 off 2 coupon from the paper
2 starbucks chocolate truffles boxes - 2/$10 - $6 ESC - 2 $1 mfr coupons I got out of those pull machines one time
6 oz colgate max - 3.29 (printed a $3.50 Register Reward)
10 oz vaseline lotion - 2.69 - .55 coupon from the paper (printed $2 RR)
axe styling stuff (yes, Paul laughed, but...)- 5.99 (will receive 6.58 on my Easy Saver Rebate)
"walgreens brand excedrin" 20 ct - 2.99 (will receive 3.29 on my ESR)
- used $9 in RR from last week and the last .97 from January's gift card to end up paying $10.95 out of pocket
#2
Riley's RX (well... it's what I bought) - 10.00
2 pantene naturals 2.99 each - $1 coupon from the paper - (will receive $3.30 ESR)
- used my $3.50 RR (colgate) from first transaction, I think my total was $11.99, but Paul has my receipt for medical tax stuff...)
#3
garnier fructis shamp/cond - $3.50 - $2 ESC and $1 coupon from the paper
garnier fructis styling product - $3.50 - $2 ESC and $1 coupon from the paper
6 oz colgate max - 3.29 (printed a $3.50 RR)
- used my $2 RR (vaseline) from first transaction, after tax paid $3.17 and earned 3.50 in RR
So, my total cost tonight was $26.11, (okay, 10 of that was Riley's meds - does that really count?). I will receive $13.17 of that back next month and I still have a $3.50 RR to use next time. Needless to say, I was pretty excited tonight! ..hey, it doesn't take much... Just an FYI - I had to use separate transactions b/c if you use your RR (for example) from the toothpaste to buy more toothpaste, it will not print another RR for you. So, you have to keep track of what your RR are from if you want to use them in that sneaky continuous loop!
There are tons of other deals out there this week - so go through the ad, easy saver catalog, your own coupons (and needs) and see what works best for you! I'll probably go again this week, b/c I can't stand to know that I left some good deals there!
